چکیده

The programme outcomes, also known as graduate attributes in the International Engineering Alliance, serve a benchmark of standards for engineering education to higher learning institutions Malaysia and other signatory countries under educational accords. Various studies conducted around world have revealed that evaluating outcomes is perhaps most important criterion Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) which focuses on improving graduates' intellectual skills capabilities. Several Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) struggled with assessing since Accreditation Council (EAC) introduced OBE 2005. Despite fact has been place over decade, issues persist. Unsustainable effort meaningless outcome assessment among academic staff are exacerbated by lack specific model, improper use tools, collection massive amounts unnecessary data. challenges experienced HLIs elaborated this article. concept sustainable development introduced, believed be capable alleviating problems associated assessment. background adoption Malaysia, well requirements Washington Accord, presented order emphasise inevitable future curriculum. curriculum advocated article aims produce graduates while reducing burden staff.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Probabilistic design: The future of rock engineering

A brief background to the development of the rock engineering design process is given, showing that since the development of the science of mathematics, deterministic methods have been used to perform various calculations. The variability of rock properties and support characteristics have always been known. However, they were not explicitly used in design but compensated for by the use of a sa...

Qualitative Assessment in the Chemical Engineering Curriculum

Background Assessment is an important part of student learning. Probably the most important part since the method of assessment has a major influence on the way students accomplish their studies. It is very important to use this fact in order to create the best possible circumstances for student learning. If we want learning to be more qualitative than quantitative, deep oriented and not surfac...
